The upper and middle back is often an area that gets over-looked. It is however vitality important to maintain the health of this 'thoracic' section of the body.
Whilst the thorax is relatively stable, it does allow rotational movement and includes the rib cage and sterum.
The thorax contains the major organs of the body and is also the attachment site for many large neck, shoulder and lower back muscles.
Consquently, pain in the thoracic region can be referred from many different tissues and is often difficult to locate the exact cause.
